OOTN: The Dress I Didn't Wear

Last night H and I went to dinner with Candice and her date and we had a blast. I was so excited when I was getting ready to go out last night because I decided to wear one of my favorite dresses that I bought last year at Forever21.

Ultimately, I didn't wear it because I was worried it would be too cold inside the restaurant and I also didn't have a cardigan or blazer that worked well over the dress (note to self: get neutral/light colored blazer or cardigan.)

I did snap some pics of the dress before I changed because it's really truly one of my favorite pieces--- it reminds me of a watercolor painting.  What do you think?

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I will probably do a shopping post when I get back from returning some shoes today. I got some peep toe black classic pumps yesterday and for some reason they looked great with my skinny jeans when I tried them on in the store but then when I tried them on at home with just a skirt, I didn't like how they looked. So back they go!

OOTN: Dinner with the H

So I'm sitting here eating Thin Mints (thank you Girl Scouts of America) after an awesome dinner with H at PF Chang's (delish!) and I thought it would be fun to post tonight's outfit since I haven't done an outfit post in forever a few weeks.

I didn't feel like wearing a dress to dinner so I actually wore the same clothes I had worn to work today, but switched out my flats for heels.

I hope everyone has a great sleep this Friday night!  I've got a busy day planned tomorrow.  First thing is an AM workout with my trainer, followed by a Skinny Vanilla Latte at Starbucks.  Then H has lovingly agreed to come shoe shopping with me. Wish me luck!

Weekend Outfits: Day & Night

Good morning ladies!  Though it's nearly noon, I must admit I slept until 11 this morning.  We went to a pumpkin carving party last night and then we went to see our friend's band play and we didn't get to bed until 2.  I almost always get 8 hours of sleep (I need it!) and I guess my body was making up for the extra hours.

Today I'm going to do a quick workout, finish a book I'm reading and maybe do some grocery shopping. Here's what I wore yesterday, day and night:

DAY:

 Tank- Marshalls
Zip Up- PH8
Pants- Lulu Lemon "still pants"

NIGHT:

Blazer- Express (I am obsessed with this blazer. It's my new "goes with everything" item in my closet)
Tee- forget the name of the store but it was like $7
Necklace- Forever 21 key with Return to Tiffany heart charm
Jeans- GAP "always skinny" destroyed
Shoes- Jessica Simpson

Quick OOTN & Evening Makeup Look

We went out for a friend's birthday tonight so I decided it would be the perfect time to break out a mini dress I got at Forever 21 over a month ago.

I used a cotton tube-style skirt underneath as both a slip and just in case the wind blew, so I wouldn't be exposed since the dress is so loose.

I just love the uniqueness of this dress!

I also switched up my makeup a bit tonight so I wanted to share that too.  I did all black around the eyes, nude pink gloss and pink shimmery cheeks (OK so maybe not that much of a change...but still):

Face:
MAC studio finish concealer
MAC studio fix powder
NARS Laguna bronzer
NARS the multiple in "Luxor" as highlight (cheekbones)
LORAC blush in "desire" (on apples of cheeks)

Eyes:
MAC "blacktrack" fluidline gel liner on upper lashline
Too Faced black e/s (it has glitter in it but I forget them name)
